Massive lidar scanner data processing tips

We recently just got into laser scanning, and we're quickly running into some major storage issues. Our processing PC has about 10TB, but between raw data, processed files, and project files, we just keep running out of space, and IT isnt thrilled about us using up server storage at all. So I'm here seeking help as how to manage these massive files.. Cloud storage, external drives, or something else? Thanks.

I've dealt with that, the cloud's good for backups but slow for big files so I'd recommend fast external SSDs for daily work, then archive older projects to cheaper HDDs or cloud to save space

Thats a lot of data moving from one point to another, so you need fast components to handle that. Use fast external drives for current work, archive older data to affordable cloud storage, and regularly clear out unneeded files to save space and avoid stuck files that causes delay and latencies

How about setting up a dedicated NAS with RAID, it gives fast access, expandable, and keeps IT out of it and also, start archiving older raw data that you don't need it day to day
